How fun to put something out there and see what happens, where it goes, who finds it! I am very excited see this go on!! fun for me!

Flickr

Have you visited Flickr? It's a photo sharing/storing sight("community"). I love to browse around there. One of my favorite games is to use the search and type in quilt or sew with a color or noun like ... sew turtle or...bird quilt! There are some great hand-made things out there! very inspiring.
Moving on: I couldn't sleep last night so I started myself a flickr account. I think I set it to private, though. so you can't look at it "till I figure out how to change that! I am no photographer and it shows, but it's fun to display and write notes on all my project pictures. I'm not sure if I'll maintain it for long, but I'm enjoying it today!

*Edit: I think you can see!!

EEEWWW! Whatis it?

This first bug is scary. It's hard to see in my picture, but it has this long needle thing sticking out it's behind. The boys and I saw it on our very long walk Thursday.(I have a blister on my baby toe. ow) To me it looks like some kind of mutant killer flying ant warrior. yuck.
This is a bunch of ants taking a dried up worm home for supper. They were working so hard and making slow progress. I'm sure more help was on the way. Gross, but fascinating.

Big foot

I almost believe in Sasquatch. I watched a documentary about them last night. I'm nearly convinced. BUT...I do not believe in the skunk apes (they live in marshes). nope. That's just silly.

Stupid Iron

I have 4 nephews. They are all great little men. I've only made a quilt for one. The other 3 obviously are in dire need of quilts. So, I decided this minth, I will get them done. I would have the first top finished tonight BUT...I burnt up my iron! It will not heat up! I am marching myself directly to Wal*mrt first thing tomorrow to buy a new iron that will heat up. Then, I will finish top#1 and cut the fabric for #2. Both I could do tonight if my dumb iron didn't quit. Poor me.
*The scetch for the red cross quilt is a copy of a lovely flannel quilt seen at Sugar City Journal.Blogspot It is so perfect for my eldest nephew.

more sewing soon

Whew!! It is now summer break! Not that I don't still have lots to do, just now I have time to do it and two fantastic helpers(James helps all the time, but he still has to GO to work). I am so looking forward to a slow, peaceful, productive summer.

AND...I have a stack of new fabric, new craft books, and projects to finish. I can hardly wait to plug in my machine(with it's new walking foot!) and zip things out!! But first, I still haven't got my poor house clean. Project 1...clean house!
